No limit Hold'em games online are still the most popular by a long way and traffic on the top rooms continue to grow at an alarming rate - even without US players.
If you would like a refresher on how no limit holdem is played you can check our our no-limit Holdem rules or read this brief recap.
The main difference between a limit and a no-limit game is that where limit games have a limit on what you can bet, no limit means simply that once the blinds have been met (see big and small blinds), any player can wager all his/her chips at any time in the game. There is still an ante increase as normal for competitions but the rules of the game are such that you can bet all your chips on any one hand. The structure of the game is outlined below:
All players are dealt 2 Hole cards (pre flop) + Round of Betting (no limit)

The Flop (3rd community Card) + Round of Betting (no limit)

The Turn (4th community card) + Round of Betting (no limit)
![]()
The River (5th community card) + Final Round of Betting (no limit)
![]()
SHOWDOWN (Players show their cards)
Remember: If you are going to raise a pot there is a minimum raise. For instance, if the player before you bets $20 then the minimum raise would be $40. However being no limit you can opt to put all your chips in the pot (this could be $20,000 - there is no limit).
