Hershey to sponsor World Series of Poker (WSOP)
World Series of Poker (WSOP) brand owner Harrah's Entertainment has revealed that chocolate manufacturer Hershey is to be
one of the main sponsors of the 2007 WSOP event.
Hershey will run a series of WSOP related promotions as part of
the deal, offering two Sweet Seats to the main event, along with trips to Las Vegas and other
special offers.
The company will also be able to use the WSOP logo and images in its promotions.
The deal is one of many expected for this summer's event, set to be the biggest ever as poker continues to expand both offline and online.
The event will this year feature nine extra events, bringing the total number of tournaments to 55. In late December last year Harrah's were bought out by a private equity firm for $27.8 billion, but the company say that the deal will not affect future WSOP plans.
