PokerStars to Float Shares

There is expectation that PokerStars will announce that they are to go public and float their shares by the end of the year. If and when this happens they would join a few other online poker sites to do this, including Paradise Poker, Party Poker and Pacific Poker.

This is being looked at as a good move if and when it happens as with the exception of Empirepoker.com going public, online sites have tended to fair well. PokerStars are now one of the biggest sites in terms of traffic which has been boosted in recent times by 3 World Champions promoting their name (following wins in the WSOP). PokerStars is estimated to be worth over 2 Billion Dollars and looks set to continue this trend with a large amount of TV advertising.
