World Poker Tour (WPT) makes stop in Canada

The WPT is adding another international stop to the list. Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort in Canada will be a new location in Season V of the World Poker Tour.

"We are thrilled to welcome the Niagara Fallsview to the WPT family and look forward to an inspiring and exciting event that will attract players from both sides of the border," said Steve Lipscomb, CEO and founder of WPT Enterprises. "By staging the North American Poker Championship in this beautiful Canadian casino, we put out the welcome mat for all poker enthusiasts in Canada and truly lay down the gauntlet to see who can reign supreme on the continent."

Fallsview General Manager Steve Wolstenholme also welcomed the cooperation with WPT. "Our casino is ready to lay out the red carpet for the WPT, the players, and the fans as they join us here in Niagara Falls. We plan to make the Fallsview Casino Resort the home of the premiere poker events in Canada and will have some other exciting announcements to make in the coming weeks about our plans with the WPT moving forward."

If you want to enter this or any other WPT event, poker rooms such as Poker Stars, Inter Poker, and Party Poker, among others, will most likely offer satellites. But as always, the surest way to get in is to pay the entry fee in cash.

Canada has produced several poker stars; Daniel Negreanu, Bill Edler, and Evelyn Ng, to name a few. And now they have their own WPT event. The North American Poker Championship is held at Fallseview on October 25-29.
