Ace High (Poker)

Ace High is the name of the lowest poker hand that can be made. In poker rankings there are 10 different hands from Royal Flush all the way down to High Card. When two players fail to make a hand (at least a pair), the highest card in their hand will determine whether they win the hand.

When it comes down to a High Card that will determine the winner, the player who has the Ace (or Ace High) will win the hand. If both players hold an ace, the pot will be split.

Maximizing Your Earnings

It is worth mentioning whilst Ace high or a High Hand is right at the bottom of the pile and likely to be beaten, you should remember that it is not what you have in your hand that counts, but what your opponent thinks that you have. The aim in poker is to represent a big hand when you have a weak hand and represent a weak hand when you have a monster. This will maximize your earnings.
