Pot Limit Omaha Poker Rules
Whether you are playing a pot limit, no limit or limit game, the rules of Omaha are the same. The only difference is that unlike a no-limit game, there is a betting limit. In no limit games you can bet all your chips at any time. In a pot limit game you can only bet the size of the pot. If there are 300 chips in the pot you can only raise up to a maximum of 300.
The betting limit is determined by the size of the pot and includes the total bets that have been posted on the table. The raise amount must be at least as much as the previous bet or raise in the same round. For example, if the first player to act bets $20, then the second player must raise a minimum of $20 (total bet of $40). If you wanted to re-raise then the limit would be $60 (total amount of the pot).
As the game progresses to the river card the bets will be much larger as the pot will have built up. If the pot is at $200 then you can bet $200. If the pot is at $2 then you can only bet $2. The betting whether limit, pot limit or no limit does not change the game structure.
