Bad Beats - Swings and Roundabouts

A couple of weeks ago i played in the Pokerstars Million and had a bit of a shocker. In fact i had set up a play where i had a player that was continually raising it up out of position and then finally i got a monster starting hand, Aces.

I was trying to contain my excitement as this was a key stager of the game. I had about 78,000 in chips and really needed a double up. This was my chance, or so i thought. Here is the transcript which goes to show just how easily it can all go wrong. Well with an additional caller behind me i would have been over $135,000 in chips had my aces held up. So sick..

Needless to say i got AK about 10 mins behind this hand and got out flopped up against AQ which pretty much finished my tournament off. I can't be too disheartened. I get annoyed when i play badly however there are always time when looking back, you would play the hand exactly the same and just got out flopped. That's poker.
