Albert Sapiano Wins GUKPT Thanet

Albert Sapiano has won the main event of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) of Thanet leg. The London contest which is part of the Genting Poker Series had a great turn out and was competitive from the word go.

This great event is the £500 buy-in Six-Max No Limit Hold'em contest. The tournament is played in the re-entry form, for instance if any player is busted out, they can make the entry again with cost of the full buy-in. The two main events that are Grand Prix V1 and the EPT Grand final, which are played at the same time.

This contest was packed with great players but Albert Sapiano played the wonderful hands throughout the game and put the winning title to his name. Some of the other big names in the contest were Sam Razavi and Sam Holden. There were 30 players left by the end of day 1 and they will battle on day 2.

Albert Sapiano led with 8:5 chips advantage over Steve Bovis. Both the players, Albert and Bovis played the wonderful game but luck favored Albert and he won the title.
