Launch of 2012 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) At PokerStars

It is that time of year again – time to take your seats at the felt and get playing preliminary rounds to enter the annual WCOOP. This is the World Championship of Online Poker so, get ready to grind. The preliminary schedule has already been advertised, and from 2nd September to 23rd, the richest online poker tournament series gets under way. WCOOP 2012There will be 61 hosted events over this spread of dates and this includes a $5,200 buy-in Main Event. There is a guaranteed prize pool of $5 million.

Last year more than $47 million ($30 million was guaranteed) was given away in prize money across sixty-two events, and this year the excitement look as though it will be even bigger and better. On the 2nd September, the fun and games starts with a $215 No Limit Hold ‘em event’, and the big bucks boys will play later that day in a $10,300 buy-in High-Roller.
