New Look For Microgaming Poker Skins Lobby

Posted:December 2012

Microgaming was the first of the poker software developers to create a Network Management Board for their online poker product. Since as far back as 2003 they have been the drive behind one of the largest, and at one time, most successful networks globally. Many of the industry’s best known brands are powered by this software, and in 2011 they won and EGR Award for Best B2B Poker Network. However, things have begun to slow down in the online poker space – except perhaps for PokerStars, so, at which time Microgaming decided to establish a Management Board for the network.

This Boardroom transformation – was designed to be a game-changing plan. It comprises of Microgaming operators on the Poker Network who qualify to be representative, as well as other experts from Microgaming, and independent players in the industry. The objective is to assist the network, and this is accomplished with the development of a roadmap implemented on network marketing policies and penalties. Basically what the board has to do is manage development initiatives for optimisation of network conservation.

Being a first ever in this industry, it has been seen as a positive step for the continuation of the online form of the game. Although we are still seeing a radical reversal of trends, in particular with regards to liquidity for the network-type set-up per se. Playtech has recently altered their network situation, losing quite a few skins to attrition in the process, but the Microgaming Poker Network is the only leader in the industry that is willing to make such a step change.

This software brand has also recently altered their software a little, and a new-look poker lobby was launched last week. The client update has only been rolled out so far to a few select poker rooms. But apparently these rooms were integral in shaping the new product design and function.
