Iveypoker.com On Recruitment Run
Posted:January 2013There is no doubt about the fact that Phil Ivey is keen to get Team Ivey up and running. It's common knowledge that Iveypoker.com is on a recruitment run, and seven more pros have recently joined this team. They join Ivey, Cole South, Greg Merson, Patrik Antonius, James Dempsey and Jennifer Harman, and they are ready to launch. This is already a very talented team, and with Josh Brikis, Gillian Epp, Jonathan Tamayo, John Eames, Matt Giannetti, David Peters, and Balazs Botond also on board. The site is due to be up and running on the 14th January 2014. At the moment they are deep in the throes of developing and putting the final touches to an "innovative social poker game."
The following players will not only serve as pros at the new site, they will be instructors too;
• Josh Brikis hails from Pittsburgh, and made his place in the team with a record of 3 WSOP final tables, as well as earnings of nearly $1.5 million from live tournament play.
• Gillian Epp is a Canadian player with success in high-stakes no-limit cash-games.
• Jonathan Tamayo was made Supernova Elite at PokerStars in 2009. He has also cashed in in live tournament play, and has over $1.5 million in live tournament earnings from playing all over the world.
• John Eames is a British poker pro with final table results for both the WSOP and EPT. He also has more than $1.1 million in winnings, as well as more than one title to his credit.
• Matt Giannetti scored big at the 2011 WSOP Main Event, finishing 4th for winnings of more than $3 million.
• David Peters is quiet at the tables, but with an aggressive playing style. He has collected more than 200 cashes in live tournaments, and over $3.5 million in live tournament earnings, as well as $2.9 million online.
• Balazs Botond is the Hungarian pro with 3 deep EPT runs and over $500,000 in live tournament poker winnings.
