Blom Up Big but Loses 1 Million

Viktor Blom (Isildur1) has a reputation as a hard-playing online poker pro who excels in the game of heads-up poker, and whose preferred medium of playing this great game, is definitely online. There is no-one he seems to fear playing, but then, perhaps that is the folly of youth. The younger some players are, the more invincible they also seem to believe they are. He has encountered some memorable players, and lost big, as well as won, and seems to be going strong as one of the poker pros at the new FTP site.

According to various (and mixed) reports he has won over $4 million online since the start of 2013. He did not attend the PCA, but has rather been keeping busy playing online poker, where during a grind session of 4,875 hands, his player account was richer, to the tune of $1,894,805. Only three days after it, the total count of his earning to date from the start of the years, was $4,073,070 over a stretch of 11,338 hands.

One of the most outstanding days play was on January 8th, where he pocketed $1,356,296 during just 24 hours. To make for another record gain of almost $2.5 million in one very short week. These gains however, have not been without their losses, and being the big risk player he is, also lost to Phil Galfond to the tune of over $1 million.

We have no misconceptions that the wheels are coming off the rail for Isildur1. If history has anything to say about this poker phenom’s performance, it is that a loss of $1 million is all in a days’ work. He is bound to beat the pants off someone else’s bankroll before very long, and in turn lose as much as he manages to win. This is simply his style of play, and while there are those amongst us who would never play poker again with this loss; he simply tosses his Viking-like locks, and starts all over again.
