What's New at Sky Poker
Posted:March 2013Sky Poker, which already had a generous offer for new members, has just made it even better. They have now added a 200% bonus for a first deposit. The bonus will be paid up to a maximum of £500. In addition to this sizeable bonus offer, they are also throwing in some free cash to play with. All new players signing up will get £10 “completely free,” as their website terms it, as well as an entry into a £10,000 monthly 'New Player Freeroll'.
There are more promotions which Sky Poker has created this year for both new and existing members. In honor of their six years in the market, Sky Poker have added a number of new promotions which are proving a hit with their player base. In one promotion, they are giving away iPad minis to their members. This promotion only runs for a limited time, with the winner of the nightly mini tournament receiving the mini iPad. The prize is in addition to the winnings from the event. The website has also announced the sites for the 2013 Sky Poker Tour. Unlike past tours, this year’s schedule will not stretch into two years, but will all be completed inside of 2013. Full details will be announced later in the year, but for now, we know a few of the tour locations.
Two events will be at Aspers Poker Rooms, one in Newcastle and another in Stratford in London. An additional event will be at the Sporting Emporium in Dublin and another at Broadway in Birmingham. The Grand Finale has been announced for Dusk Till Dawn Club in Nottingham. Here are the dates that have recently been released:

Turbo Tuesdays - Tuesday nights at Sky Poker have kicked the pace up a notch with the introduction of 'Turbo Tuesday'. With a new £5,000 Guaranteed Turbo Open as the Main Event, as well as an 8.15pm Turbo Mini and 9pm Turbo Bounty Hunter, it's a perfect night for those of you who like your hands to come thick and fast. Timed Tournaments - Sky have launched timed tournaments. Played like a regular multi-table tournament, Timed Tournaments have one major twist: the tournament ends after a set amount of time. When the time is up, the prize money is awarded according to chip counts.
Happy Hour - To help give players a leg up on the Cash for Points ladder, Sky Poker will be running three Happy Hours every day of the week. In that time all Poker Points earned on cash game tables from 2-4p and upwards will get a 50% boost, giving players a fantastic opportunity to boost their Cash for Points payout!
