Turbo Online Poker Series Soon Underway at Carbon Poker

Carbon Poker is set to launch a new series of online poker tournaments at their website. It is their “Turbo Online Poker Series,” or OPS and it will be running the last four days of March. There are a total of 14 events scheduled in the series that has more than $100,000 in guaranteed prize money. The first tournament in the series set for 20:00 GMT on Thursday, March 28. It has a buy-in and entry fee of just $1.10 with a guaranteed purse of $2K.

The main event of Carbon Poker’s Turbo OPS series will be on the last day, March 31. It has a cash guarantee of $15K and costs $109 to enter. The tournament begins at 18:00 GMT. Starting an hour later on that date will be a Pot Limit Omaha event, the only one in the series. It also has a $109 entry fee. The guaranteed purse is $10K and the format calls for no more than six at any table.

Carbon Poker is running satellites to these events and they are different from most satellites offered by online poker rooms. Usually, you can enter a qualifier for a low amount and work your way up through a series of satellite steps. But because of the format for Carbon’s Turbo OPS series, there are different satellites for each of the tournaments.

The buy-ins are as low as $.27 on up to $30.50. The satellites are also available in sit&go formats as well as a “Full Ring” sit&go format. In addition to the prize money in the tournaments, Carbon Poker will also offer extra money with their “Turbo OPS Leaderboard.” After the series has concluded, the top ten players on the leaderboard will receive part of a $2,000 prize fund, with the leader receiving $500.
