Heads up Player? Get Rewarded!

For some time, Carbon Poker has offered a good deal of bonus money to the top players on their Sit & Go Leaderboards, which have proved very popular on the site. Carbon has now added a similar but still unique promotion which offers even bigger returns. It's their “Heads Up Sit & Go Leaderboard,” and it gives out $10,000 a month to the top heads up specialists on the site.

All members of Carbon Poker can earn 1 point on a leaderboard for every Heads Up Sit & Go competition / game they complete in. The leaderboards divide the play in the room by the size of the buy-in. There are four different levels in the promotion, each with their own leaderboard as well as a separate bonus prize pool.

The first of the Leaderboards is called “Micro.” and it tabulates the points you have earned for buy-ins from $1.10-$2.20. The Micro leaderboard offers a total of $500 in bonus money that is paid out to the top 25 players at the end of the month. The player who wins first prize will receive $100.

There is much more money available every month in the next level of the leaderboards. It is the “Low” category and it keeps track of every Heads Up Sit & Go competition with buy-ins between $5.50 and $11.00. The total prize money for the Low Leaderboard is $1,500. First prize is $350 and the payoffs continue down to 20th place.

The next Leaderboard in this promotion is called “Mid” and it is for buy-ins to the Heads Up Sit & Go game between $22 and $60. Players who earn enough points to get a payoff on the Mid Leaderboard are very well rewarded. There is a total of $3,500 in prize money awarded in the Mid category with the payoffs only going down to 10th place. The player in first place at the end of the month will receive $1,000.

Naturally, the biggest money in this promotion is reserved for the top or “High” level. The High Leaderboard is for very serious players who have accumulated a lot of points playing for buy-ins of $109 and higher. There are only five places that are paid on the High Leaderboard. That exclusive group will be dividing $4,500. The winner gets a $1,500 payoff, second place receives $1,100, third place gets $800, fourth place $600 and the player in the fifth spot is paid a $500 bonus.

Whilst it's not the most inventive of naming conventions across the leader boards, this is a real earning potential for heads up players to make a little extra on the side.
