Posted:February 2016PKR has announced that it is to move to the Microgaming Poker Network, however the PKR Poker software will stay exactly as you know it. Whether this seen as a good thing or not remains to be seen. Whilst it's certainly a good move with respect to the increase in collective player base, the software will still be BIG by comparison to any other poker room.
PKR can expect to see a six fold increase in players from launch, 3 times as many tournaments every day and over €3.5 million in monthly tournament prizes. Even the loyalty program, PKR Poker VIP Club, has undergone a big revamp and will be offering bigger and better rewards than at any time in the past.

To their credit, PKR has been a standalone entity for the past decade however have recently seen a decline in players. This has been down to a number of factors.
