WSOP 2009 Pre Registration Open
Posted:March 2009It has been a wait, but registration for the 2009 World Series of Poker is now open. 2009 will see the 57 events played in the Rio Hotel & Casino (3700 West Flamingo Road) in Las Vegas.
This years tournaments run over May 26 - July 15 with the "November Nine" returning to play the Main Event final table Nov 7-10. Jack Effel, the WSOP Tournament Director, has warned that this year there will be a cap on the number of players that can join each event, so to avoid dissapointment, pearly pre registration is advised.
2009 will see a range of different tournaments and buy in amounts ranging from $1,000 all the way up to the World Championship H.O.R.S.E event (event 49).
The opening event is confined to Casino employes who can take part in the Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em (Event 1). This will kick off competition and will run through to the 13 day WSOP main event on Fri, Jul 3rd.
