Rules of Oklahoma Poker

Oklahoma Lowball is a variant of 5 Card Stud in which the low hand wins the pot. Please check out our 5 Card Stud rules guide for how to play the game. Here is a quick recap on the order of play:

All players ante
Arrow
Each player is dealt one card face-down (hole card) and one card face-up (door card)
Arrow
First betting round
Arrow
Each player is dealt one card face-up
Arrow
Second betting round

Each player is dealt another card face-up (4th street)
Arrow
Third betting round
Arrow
Each player is dealt a last card face-up (river)

Final betting round

Showdown

At showdown, the lowest hand wins the pot - this would be A through to 6. The key differences between Oklahoma and 5 Card Stud is that i) the Lowest Card starts the betting, ii) straights and flushes count, iii) aces are low only and iiii) 2's are wild.
