Online Poker Rooms battle for Credibility

Posted:April 2007

Online Poker Rooms have always rewarded their top players with seats to the World Series of Poker. It has always been a battle for online credibility and each and every poker room gets more respect and business the better their players perform. This year the WSOP was the biggest yet with Jamie Gold being the last man standing to scoop an unprecedented $12 Million.

This years winner was sponsored from Bodog poker room. This year however Pokerstars sent around 20% of the online entrants and managed to get 3 of their players onto the final table. The three players were Doug Kim, Dan Nassif and Eric Friberg. Still a pretty successful run as collectively all the Pokerstars.com players took around $21 Million from all 46 open events. This was a turn on the books as the bookies had Pokerstars to come out on top when the final table was realized.
