World Poker Tour puts Pen to Paper in Deal with PartyGaming
Posted:November 2007Well in terms of poker these are two of the largest entities around and things are only set to get stronger. Since the US ban, Partygaming (owner of Party Poker) have been aggressively looking to get into non-US markets to strengthen their global market.
Before the ban Partygaming were a real force and relied on strong US presence. This deal will give Partygaming (and more importantly Party Poker) more exposure through World Poker Tour events including Seasons IV, V and VI of the World Poker Tour (WPT), and also Seasons I, II and III of the Professional Poker Tour (PPT).
It has not yet been confirmed exactly where the Party Poker logo will be located but likely hood is that it will be visible in play (possibly on the table). So what do World Poker Tour get out of this? Well PartyPoker.com have agreed to heavily promote WPT events and also will support the WPT academy. Good news for poker all round.
