More US States Expected To Pass Online Poker Laws

Posted:December 2012

Now that Nevada has taken the plunge and opened the door for legal and regulated online poker, at least ten more US states are expected to follow suit. In a tight economy like the USA, every dollar spent counts. In some states, online poker will be the only game, while in others they might go the whole hog with less regulation.

US Online Poker - On It's Way Back?By January 2013, we are expecting Nevada poker sites to be up and running, and political pundits say that the bigger the budget deficit, the more likely a US state will be to pass the necessary laws. California for one, even though COPA have dropped their case, we are still expecting Native American tribal casinos to launch live online. In fact the GEObet Gambling Network, a gambling technology and services provider is focusing its efforts on bringing Native American tribal casinos online.

They will launch the first of an expected series of Native American online poker rooms and casinos this month. This will actually mean they are ahead of Nevada casino titans in this game. This is a natural extension of their rights to bring their gambling business into the 21st Century.

Native American tribes have rights in terms of the sovereignty of their lands to run gambling business in the USA. They also have the right to protect their interests in this business, and as competition becomes more brutal in the USA, GEObet Network intends to be in a position to protect these rights.

Securing this future means unifying tribal communities in creating an online poker network which can benefit from liquidity in communal games such as poker. Networks allow tribes in the form of websites to work together to accumulate shared online poker prizes. The same might apply to other online gambling games, because the bigger these prizes are, the more custom gambling sites attract.
